Abstract

Al-Hakim at-Tirmidhi was the first scholar in the Islamic world to approach the city from an anthropological point of view. Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Hasan Hakim at-Tirmidhi (ca. 205–320 / 820–932) created the doctrine of the human city based on the Qur’an and Hadith. Its center is the leader of the city, the victorious governor.
