Abstract

Text translation for specific purposes (TTSP) is a specialized area of translation that involves the translation of texts that are intended for specific audiences and purposes. This can include technical manuals, legal documents, medical reports, and other types of specialized texts. The aim of this article is to provide an overview of TTSP, including its challenges, strategies, and best practices. The article begins by defining TTSP and outlining some of the key challenges involved in this type of translation. The article also highlights the challenges that translators may face in TTSP and suggests future research directions to address these challenges, such as developing new translation strategies, investigating the effectiveness of different terminology management tools, and exploring the role of translation technologies. It then discusses some of the common strategies used by translators to overcome these challenges and ensure accurate and effective translation. Finally, the article concludes with a discussion of best practices for TTSP and recommendations for future research in this field.
