ABU MU’IN NASAFI SHRINE

Abstract

This article examines the life, scientific heritage, and historical significance of Abu Mu’in Nasafi (1027–1114), one of the prominent representatives of the Maturidi school of theology and a renowned scholar of kalam, jurisprudence, and hadith studies. The study analyzes his major works, particularly Tabsirat al-Adilla, which occupies an important place in the development of Islamic theology. The article also provides information about Abu Mu’in Nasafi’s teachers, disciples, and scholarly contribution to the intellectual life of Mawarannahr. Special attention is given to the Abu Mu’in Nasafi shrine complex located in Kovchin village of Karshi district, its architectural features, restoration works carried out during the years of independence, and its role in the development of pilgrimage tourism. The findings indicate that Abu Mu’in Nasafi’s scientific legacy and the preservation of his shrine represent an important part of Uzbekistan’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
