THE ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT IN LEARNING ENGLISH
Abstract
The community environment plays a vital role in facilitating and enhancing English language learning. This article explores the impact of the community environment on English language acquisition. It highlights the significance of language exposure through daily interactions, media consumption, and social activities. Cultural immersion within the community allows learners to understand the nuances and social customs associated with the English language. Language exchange programs, community-based language classes, and language learning communities provide structured learning environments and a supportive network for practice and improvement. Multilingualism and language diversity within the community context enable learners to make connections between languages. Overall, understanding and leveraging the community environment can greatly enhance English language learning outcomes.
