Abstract
This article explores the development of pilgrimage tourism in the Fergana Oasis, a region steeped in religious and cultural history. As testament to its spiritual past, the area is home to numerous revered religious sites, attracting pilgrims worldwide. Recognizing this potential, the governments of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan have invested in infrastructure, promotions, and sustainable management strategies. The result is a thriving pilgrimage tourism sector, contributing to the local economy and cultural preservation. However, challenges such as political tensions and environmental concerns need to be addressed to ensure the sustainable development of this sector. The article underscores the immense potential of the Fergana Oasis as a global hub for pilgrimage tourism.
